Darth Vader Figure Premium | |
The Burger Kings in SA first carried the same premiums as the UK and other places outside of the US.
According to a contact of Jack's in Argentina, the original series of Burger King premiums sold out very quickly all across the country. The first series had included the same figures found in the UK and Europe. In an effort to appease the masses, Burger King Argentina commisioned a local toy manufacturer to come up with more Star Wars toy premiums. Shown here are some pics of the 2nd series Darth Vader included in the kids meals.
The 2nd photo shows the premium in both bagged and loose form. The Vader figure is totally unarticulated, but a fairly good size with removable skirt and cloak. The bags caused the saber to bend pretty badly making the starightening of the saber a difficult chore. The bottom of one foot does have "Copyright LFL" stamped on it. The paper insert has "Copyright 2005 Lucasfilm Ltd. & TM" printed on it.
The final image shows a size comparison between the premium figure (right) and a POTF2 Darth Vader figure (left) |
