| Burger King Everybody Wins [space kids] standee | |
| This rare display was part of the Everybody Wins promotion in 1981 (June 19-July 30), and is one of the most difficult-to-find (and fanciful) of all vintage Burger King promotional items. For years this display was only known by a price guide reference as the space kids display, with no picture reference. I recently upgraded the condition of my display, making it four examples that I know about, none of which have the base. The poles that hold the display upright would have fit into a base much like the standee for the ESB glasses. The lack of this important piece on all examples is a surprise, and I can only conjecture at this point that the bases might have been re-used for the next promotion Burger King released, since the display I recently purchased came in a box for some kind of back-to-school promotion that started the day after Everybody Wins ended. The lower part of the display has slots designed to hold the register cards for this promotion, which I had previously guessed was likely, but the specimen I just purchased actually had the register cards attached here. |
