Photo Art for Lobot Action Figure Trilogo Blister Card
Photo art represents the pinnacle of prototype material for toy packaging. Virtually every Kenner action figure, ship, and playset packaging employed some sort of photo art. Packaging images were typically altered, either slightly or dramatically, with air brushing to create the exact image desired for a particular toy's packaging.

The imagery found on many trilogo card fronts differed substantially from their domestic counterparts. As one will immediately notice upon viewing the trilogo packaging and the American Kenner packaging, Lobot represents a character that exhibited card image differences. The photo art shown above represents the master image used to develop the Lobot trilogo packaging. The image was obviosuly cropped due to limited space availabilty on the card front, so it's interesting to see the original photo in its entirety.

The Lobot photo art is simply one of the many fine pre-production items housed in the collection of Randy Simpson, a collector who avidly seeks out items of this nature for his character collection.
