Celebration III 3-Piece Patch Set (PSWCS/DCSWCC/OSWCC) & Prototype Uncut Patch
The three patches shown above, designed and produced by Pat Pscherer, Mike Kurtz, Dan Flarida and Bill Cable, were popular Celebration III exclusives. These expertly crafted patches, distributed free of charge, were presented to inquiring attendees while supplies lasted. They were approved and licensed by Lucasfilm prior to distribution by the following groups: In order to acquire the three wedges to complete the patch, one had to visit each of the clubs' booths at Celebration III and inquire about one. 500 of each wedge were manufactured. 350 of each were distributed at Celebration III. The other 150 complete patches were sold to members of the 3 clubs to cover the cost of the give-away.

The above photo shows a prototype patch. The manufacturer produced 10 of these mock-ups for approval prior to final production. Unlike the final patches, these prototypes were not cut into wedges. The border around each wedge is made of metallic red thread instead of the standard red thread used for the final version patches. The president of each participating collecting club received 3 patches. The last patch entered the collection of a well-known anonymous supercollector.
