Star Wars 12-Back Death Squad Commander | |
This is the 12-back version of the 'Death Squad Commander' as retailed in Netherlands and Belgium. It is part of Jean Bernard's collection which features an impressive run of DSC carded figures from various licensees. Like most early cards from European licensees (eg. Meccano, Harbert...), Clipper 12-backs are difficult to find, especially that character. The back of the card is also very interesting. First the writing in both official spoken languages: Dutch and French.
But the other interesting detail is the promotional sticker for a free Boba Fett figure which you could get by redeeming 4 nameplates cut from cardbacks - which by the way explains why many Clipper and Palitoy cardbacks are found with character nameplate cut away. |
