| Pictured here is the Chewbacca figure packed onto a French 'La guerre des étoiles' 20-back square card.
The wookie name was changed to 'CHIQUETABA' for the whole french market to match pronunciation, it was also written as 'Chiktabba' during a very short timeframe. Because of their cheap quality, seeing a mint Meccano card like this one is always a delight... This packaging was used in France on the same card format from 1979 to 1982, unlike some other countries, Meccano kept releasing Star Wars characters on Star Wars (GDE) square cards even during the Empire line. |
