Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) Protomolded Figure

The image above is of a Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) Internal First Shot, or more accurately a protomolded figure. A protomolded figure such as this would have been made in-house at Kenner, as opposed to over seas as production figures and first shots were. These figures were shot in a milky white plastic and then completely hand-painted. Though it is not pictured this figure also lacks foot holes and copyright information since these would later be added to the steel molds over seas. By the time of Return of the Jedi protomolded had started to replace painted hardcopies as Toy Fair and photo samples. This figure was most likely used in one of those capacities.

The second image shown is a group shot of several stages in the production process of the Kenner, Lili Ledy, and Top Toys Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) action figure. The image includes several early and late first shots, an unpainted Kenner hardcopy, a painted Top Toys hardcopy, a painted Kenner protomolded figure, and the head and torso silicone molds for the Top Toys hardcopy.

Those interested in the Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard Disguise) action figure may also want to view this painted hardcopy. Make no mistake a run like this is not easy to assemble and I'd like to thank David for sharing images of this marvelous view into the creation of Lando Skiff.
