Chrome Micro Collection Toy Fair Sign
Thought to be a display used at Toy Fair, this hand-made piece was used to promote Kenner's short lived Micro Collection line. The similarity in construction and size to the Return of the Jedi Toy Fair display, also seen on The Archive, suggests this piece may have been a companion to it; if this is the case this piece likely dates to Toy Fair 1982 or 1983.

The display is entirely hand-made out of foam board with raised potions for the letters and logo. The side picture shows the depth of the hand-painted letters. The bands around the piece are covered in reflective chrome tape which give it a mirror-like appearance. The two figures in the bottom right should give an idea of the size of this piece; it's a massive four feet by three feet. Velcro pieces are on the back where it was attached to a wall.
