Hoth Stormtrooper Unpainted 4-up Hardcopy (088-007) | |
The crawling pose Hoth Stormtrooper was offered as part of the
"Build Your Armies" mail-away
set, which featured three different Hoth Stormtroopers along with three different Rebel Soldiers. The
prototype shown in this entry is referred to as an unpainted 4-up
hardcopy, meaning it is four times as large as its production counterpart.
The photo shown above affords another side view of the 4-up along with a production size Micro figure for size comparison.
This show shows a view from above the 4-up. A few casting flaws are present on the 4-up's back, but I can't really complain considering this is the only unpainted example of this Hoth Stormtrooper pose that has surfaced as of 2005.
The final photo affords a view of the 4-ups underside. I've been able to assemble a sizable pre-production series for this Hoth Stormtrooper over the years which includes: unpainted 4-up, silicone mold , painted 4-up, painted resin squeezing, unpainted 1:1 micro, and hand painted 1:1 micro. Assembling a series of this nature is an enjoyable endeavor. The series illustrates many of the steps a Micro figure went through to reach final production status. |
