| Nothing excites me more than the community finding something previously unknown. At the time the Special Feature on Model Trem bootlegs was written the 34 pictured figures were thought to be a complete set. Since then the ATAT Commander pictured here turned up. This is a real thrill to see because not only is it a never before seen Model Trem figure but it is absolutely the most perfect specimen I have ever laid eyes on. The box is absolutely perfect too, not even a hint of yellowing to the label. Sadly, the label on the front only says ATAT Commander and does not have a number. It's real unfortunate because the known Series 1 figures end at #34 and the 2nd Series knock-offs pick up at #51. I'd hoped that this new figure would help fill in one of the blanks. Either way this is sure to become a holy grail now for those looking to assemble a set. With this new discovery there's hope for even more of the other 16 mystery figures to turn up. Imagine the stir something like a lead Boba Fett might cause. ;^) |
