| Vintage Star Wars apparel is an oft-overlooked category for many current collectors, but those who choose to seek them out will find many of them a challenge, especially unused in their original packages. Wilker Brothers released an extensive range of Star Wars pajamas and robes for all three films, typically using imagery unique to this line. Some images would seem a reminder that LFL didn't exercise quite the same level of control over all its licensees the way they do today! While apparel items are preferably collected unused in their original packaging if possible since they wear and fade easily once worn, one often has to settle for what can be found, and prices for worn items are generally reasonable. This example features an interesting combination of the classic Star Wars pose of Luke with a rather unique rendering of Yoda. |
