Goony Bird Toy Demonstrator Button | |
The button seen here was likely worn by a Kenner sales representative for one of the Toy Fair or
other industry shows during the 1970's. The yellow bird, referred to as the Goony Bird, was
a prominent mascot for the now defunct Kenner toy company. The Goony Bird was featured on
multiple internal company items, early in-pack catalogs, and even on the cover of the 1972 Toy
Fair Catalog.
Items of this nature represent interesting artifacts from a sorely missed toy company. Over the years, Kenner internal and Toy Fair-related items such as this button have become popular with collectors who appreciate the historical significance and impact that Kenner had on the toy industry. |
