Original Concept Artwork and Presentation Board for AST-5 Mini-Rig
Shown above is a presentation board used internally at Kenner in the development of Kenner's AST-5 mini-rig released in the Return of the Jedi line. Many of Kenner's mini-rigs had extensive planning and development put into them as they had no models used in the films to draw from.

A designer's blueprint was likely the source of the original drawing which appears to be a black line-art copy. A view of the ship from the top, front, back and side are shown. Two views are fully colored in; the top and side views. The colors are much more vibrant and different than the produced version. The artwork is done in what appears to be paints, artist's marker and colored pencils. The art is glued to a heavy piece of poster board, likely used as a presentation internally at Kenner.

The last photo shows the artwork next to the production piece. The scale of the artwork is at the same size as the produced toy.
