| Palioty ROTJ/Action Force Header Card | |
This is a rather interesting foreign store display. It is double-sided and roughly the same size as an American Kenner bin header card. One side features the space battle artwork similar to that found on the large Kenner ROTJ-era header. The other side advertises Palitoy's Action Force line. This is the only example that I and many other avid display collectors have come across, which makes it an incredibly rare display. Interestingly enough, there is no mention of Palitoy on the display, but it was obviously used by the company to promote the two lines. Based on two marks located at the base of the display, one can assume it was fastened with two rectangular clips. Based on this and the two-sided nature of the display it's safe to assume that it probably sat atop a spinning rack.
Here is the Action Force image on the reverse side. I particularly like the way the display is rounded at the top. It's quite different from the rectangular Kenner displays we are accustomed to. |
