Kenner Terminator Mug | |
Kenner's '60s/'70s logo was the Goony Bird, a goofy yellow thing that looked like it came right out of Jim Henson's muppet factory. As a logo, it was gone by 1980. But this mug, made during the early '90s, revives the mascot, showing the ol' bird in the guise of one of Kenner's then profitable licenses, the Terminator. The Terminator-bird, representing "The New Kenner", is shown wearing a leather jacket and sporting a mechanical eye; the Goony Bird's normally floopy "hair" has even been trimmed to a flat-top! He's saying "I'm Back". I guess that meant that Kenner was back, too. |
