Boba Fett Large Size Action Figure (Woolco Catalog Sample)

At first glance, this particular Canadian 12" Boba Fett seems rather unassuming. However, the bottom of the box features a very interesting sticker which provides evidence that this particular Fett was used as the photo sample for the 1979 Woolco Canada Christmas Catalogue.

The above image clearly shows the Woolco catalogue sample tag affixed to the bottom of the box highlighting the particular page this Boba Fett was featured on (175), the manufacturer (Kenner), and the product number (31940). Woolco was the discount division of Woolworths and was founded in 1962. In the US, Woolco stores were out of business by 1983 but they managed to hold on in Canada until they were taken over by Wal-Mart in 1994.
