| Unproduced Gyroscopic Light Saber Catalog Photography | |
| Here is a set of images from the unproduced Kenner Star Wars toy, the gyroscopic Force lightsaber. The idea behind this toy was to take the simple Force Lightsaber and add light, sounds, and a gyro handle that supplied motion and weight.
Included in this set of Kenner photography are glimpses of the packaging planned for the toy. The vibrant blue boxes show Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader holding the toy.
There was even a store display considered for the gyroscopic version of the lightsaber as shown above. In this design, the lightsaber boxes fit snugly into the box.
A closeup of the proof artwork shows some interesting artwork considered for the toy packaging. The use of extensive artwork would not appear on Star Wars toys until the Droids, Ewoks, and Power of the Force promotions. This Kenner file photography is courtesy of Cloud City Collectibles. |
