| Canadian Star Wars toys were produced in significantly lower quantities than their US counterparts.
This fact makes them both desirable and ellusive at times for collectors who focus on Canadian
Star Wars merchandise. According to Mike Chomyn, an avid Canadian collector, the 12 inch
Han Solo seen here is one of the most difficult boxed 12" figures to locate.
The photo above affords a view of the significant differences from the US packaging. The flap on this side features the appealing "La Guerre Des Etoiles" logo. The rear box portion exhibits text in both English and French. Non-US toy merchandise, like this early Kenner Canada Han, has certainly increased in popularity over the years, so it's nice to see a rarity of this nature in a solid collection like Mike Chomyn's. |
