| The vinyl or plastic cape Jawa is one of the rarest loose Star Wars figures
ever made. The Jawa was the last figure of the original 12 to be issued.
Only a few Jawas made it into production with this plastic cape. The cloth cape was added since it improved the look of the Jawa.
This is one of the most commonly faked figures out there. The easiest way to tell a fake is by color, since few people are aware that the Jawa has its own unique cape color. It's common for to find the fraudulent Jawas made out of Ben Kenobi capes even though Ben's cape is a different color. You can see that this Jawa's cape color is close to the color of the plastic on the Jawa, while the Ben cape color is more a reddish brown. |
