| "CUDDLE HIM! LOVE HIM! SQUEEZE HIM...'BEEP, BEEP'!" Who the heck ever heard of a cuddly droid?! As goofy as the toy was, Kenner managed to sell quite a few of these stuffed R2-D2 dolls. The dolls were shipped in groups of six inside of displays like the one you see above, which were ready to use upon the opening of their shipping cartons.
This item was available in both 1978 and 1979 to any retailer who purchased the plush R2-D2 from Kenner. |
