| The design displayed in this drawing was reproduced exactly on the production coin, right down to the small stars shown behind the Emperor's throne. The text on the lower rim was changed to the much sexier Galactic Ruler on the production coin.
Note the hand-written text at the upper right corner of the image. It reads "Sent out to LFL 3/84", indicating that these designs were sent to Lucasfilm for approval in early '84. The released version of this coin can be seen here. |
