Stormtrooper Screamin' Model Original Artwork
The prototypes in this series are all original artwork, layouts, and proof sheet for the Screamin' Model Company's line of Star Wars models released in the early nineties. These represent some of the first prototypes to emerge from the "Dark Years" of Star Wars collecting - the period between the demise of Kenner's action figure line and the release of the Heir to the Empire novel.

This is the hand rendered ink artwork for the Stormtrooper 1/4 scale kit. This artwork was used for the instruction sheet layout pictured here.  Other examples show that a pencil rendering would have preceded this stage of the design.  Highly detailed pieces would be drawn on separate sheets to show more detail, alternative angles or both.

The artwork for the Stormtrooper's Blaster is shown below. This is also an ink piece although a bit smaller than the other two drawings.

This last piece is drawn on a regular sheet of paper, unlike the others, which are on standard illustration board.  It shows the smallest pieces of the model that would have been made of fiberboard.  These particular pieces were components of the gun, as shown on the instruction sheet.
