| POTF2 12" Luke in Mock Up Box | |
| This is a packaging sample for the 12" Collector's Series Luke figure. As you can see, it differs substantially from the boxes that were initially used on these figures. I'm not sure where this stands in the developmental process, but I believe even the dolls shown at Toy Fair '96 had the characteristic "flap" boxes which were used over the first couple of years of production.
Its interesting to note that the design motif is similar to that used on the rest of the POTF2 line, the orange and black colors and looming Vader head echoing the look of the 4" figure packages heavily.
Also, notice that the paint scheme of the doll differs from the production version as well. Luke looks like he's wearing lipstick!! |
