| Wow, until I got this piece I didn't even realize the diecast ships were sculpted in twice the scale of the actual production pieces. You can see here that this 2up consists of three separate parts: the top, back, and bottom pieces. There are two shots of the production diecast Star Destroyer in the photo for scale and comparison.
The finished production piece has additional detail not found in the hardcopy that was presumably added later. It's not clear whether this should be called a hardcopy since the materials are different than other hardcopy pieces. Perhaps mold test is more appropriate. |
