Brass Sculpting Buck for Wax Action Figure Sculpting
Here you see the beginnings of a wax action figure sculpting. It's composed of sculpting wax, some plastic join disks and a brass sculpting buck, the core around which the figure sculpting is built. As you can see from these photos, the beginnings of a torso is distinguishable in this wax.

 

Here are the sides. In one of these photos you can see the side of the brass buck, while the other displays the plastic disk incorporated at the leg joint.

Given the scale of this piece, I'd say it's likely that it was intended for either the Star Wars or Indiana Jones line. Obviously, work on this figure never got far. Then again, it could simply be the product of some sculptor screwing around. But if I told you it represents an aborted Grand Moff Tarkin figure, would you believe me? :^)
