| Power Droid Painted First Shot | |
| This is an early design prototype for the Power Droid (although not the earliest variety as seen in the Kenner German catalog).
This photo shows the prototype (on the left) next to the production figure (on the right). The mold is distinct from the production mold and this detail comes out in the vents and along the edges. The paint and blue plastic color also differs the production piece. The decals have a different color. It's believed that this could be a Toy Fair sample that used an earlier mold.
