Hoth Stormtrooper Painted Hardcopy | |
This is a great example of an early Empire Strikes Back hardcopy, something that doesn't turn up with a whole lot of regularity. It's also nice that it's of one of the earliest, not to mention coolest, ESB figures, the Hoth Stormtrooper. Above you see the front view of the hardcopy. This prototype is painted slightly differently than were the production figures.
The shot above affords a glimpse of the hardcopy's back.
Here you see the figure with the legs removed. As you can see by looking at the hip joints, the figure is made out of a brownish colored casting material. This is typical of hardcopies made prior to 1982 or so. This is just one of the fantastic pieces in Mike's collection.
