Star Wars Inflatable Light Saber Photo Artwork | |
This is a series of photo art pieces to the Star Wars Inflatable Light Saber toy that was the first licensed Star Wars lightsaber toy ever made. This flaccid inflatable saber toy was Kenner's early attempt at making a non-violent version of the Jedi weapon. These images have been heavily airbrushed to enhance the shots.
The image above of the lone lightsaber appears on the side panel of the Inflatable Light Saber toy box.
This shot is a cropped version of the dueling boys on the back face of the packaging of the Inflatable Light Saber toy box.
The uncropped version of the same image appears here with extensive airbrushing and background effects. Note that the image was flipped on actual production toy box. It appears across the main face of the packaging.
With plaid pants and his inflatable saber, this boy is ready for action! The photo art here also features extensive airbrushing to give the bright blue background effect.
This shot also appears on the box of the production toy. The floating ball is perhaps to simulate the remote that Luke uses to practice his lightsaber technique. Ball and plaid not included. |
