| On this sketch of the snowspeeder cockpit from ESB, the only original artwork is the background imagery--the pilot and ship were both copied to make numerous boards of similar shots easier to render. Possibly by Joe Johnston, but more likely by another artist on the ILM staff. Most of the storyboards that have found their way into private collections are "first draft" sketches. A more refined version, typically done by Joe Johnston, would be kept for the Lucasfilm archives. |
