| Vlix Prototype Gold & Silver Coins | |
| This image shows the three versions of the Vlix coin. A gold toned "ia" a silver "ia" and finally a silver production version "ai". This coin originally had villain spelled as "Villian". This was changed fairly early in the production process. As a result all the gold toned coins have the "ia" spelling. The gold coins would have been painted solely for use on mock up carded figures for a presentation such as Toy Fair. All of these toned coins are very rare and most show some wear like the one shown here. Many of them have a tape stain on the back from being attached to a proof card. While the silver "ai" Vlix coins are somewhat available, the gold toned "ia" coins are extremely rare with probably fewer then 6 known to exist. |
