| ESB R2-D2 Large Figure Box Flat | |
| With the exception of Boba Fett and IG-88, the vintage Kenner doll line was only produced using Star Wars boxes. However, several box flats for an unused Empire Strikes Back line of packaging have been uncovered. This R2-D2 box flat is one such example.
What makes this particular flat interesting is that it features a different photo from its production SW counterpart. Of the ESB box flats that have surfaced, this is the only one to have an alternate photo. As can be seen above, this ESB flat features a tight shot of R2 in front of the sandcrawler. In the production SW version, R2 is accompanied by a Jawa. |
