Lando Calrissian Paint Samples
There are quite a few paint oddities that have turned up with respect to Micro Collection figures. At left, you see a regular Lando figure with its typical production paint scheme. In the center is the same figure, but it appears to have never had the dark blue of the pants applied over the lighter blue of the primary outfit. Lastly, at center, the reddish-brown flesh-tone has become the primary figure color, with a caucasion skin color taking its place on the hands and face. The entire figure seems to have been undercoated with a light blue, as there is evidence of that color beneath chipped-off areas of the brown paint.

Its hard to explain such anomalies definitively, but its important to note that such odd-ball figures would not have turned up in packaged playsets. They most likely represent samples sent to Kenner for approval on some aspect of the painting process. As always, its not advisable to go looking for and/or spending alot of money for this type of thing. These particular figures were obtained quite cheaply from a dealer in the Cincinatti area (Kenner's home base).
