| This is a 4-up paint master of the Hoth Stormtrooper figure from the Micro Collection Build Your Armies mail away set. A painted 1:1 micro is included in the picture to provide a size comparison between the prototype and the production figure size.
Here you see the a rear view of the 4-up. Somewhat oddly, the piece is cast, not in the green dynacast material that is typical of these 4-ups, but in the tan material more common to earlier hardcopy pieces, and sometimes called carbalon. The Micro Collection seems to have come along just as Kenner was beginning to use the green material more than the tan. But, of course, there are no strict rules when it comes to this sort of thing; only generalizations. The base displays the production number (088-006) of the figure, the 6 digit code having been pencilled on for easy idenfication. |
