Stormtrooper 4-up Silicone Mold (517-019) | |
Showcased here is a Stormtrooper silicone mold for one of the
of the Micro Collection stormtroopers 4-ups.
This pose is designated by the number 517-019. The first three digits represent the
Death Star Compactor playset,
while the last three indicate the particular character/pose. A 1:1 unpainted micro was included in the above pictures
to give a sense of scale.
Collectors often endeavor to put together complete runs highlighting each portion of the production process which brings a toy from concept to final product. Silicone molds, like the one shown here, and original sculptings are often the limiting factors for completing a run as they may no longer exist. Understanding the true rarity and importance of this piece is vital to grasping its appeal as a prototype. A matching paint master 4-up of this pose may be viewed here. |
