| Pictured here is the Power Droid figure packed onto a French 'La guerre des Etoiles' Meccano square card.
Although both cards featured here bears the double-M 'MM' logo for 'MIRO-MECCANO' (merge between two companies), the trained collector's eye will notice they differs from another: Because of their cheap quality, seeing Meccano cards in such condition, especially for a SW 2nd wave figure is quite a delight and achievement... This packaging was used in France on the same card format from 1979 to 1982, unlike some other countries, Meccano kept releasing Star Wars characters on Star Wars (GDE) square cards even during the Empire line. |
