Empire Strikes Back Rebel Soldier
Releases in France toy licenesee Meccano's Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back lines came packaged on very unique square cards, unlike any other package produced. The Empire Strikes Back (Or L'Empire Contre-Attaque) line of Meccano's is one of the rarest produced in the vintage Star Wars line and seldom come up for sale. This piece is the Rebel Soldier (Soldat Rebelle Tenue Hoth) which was originally issued in 1980.

In all, over forty different Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back figures were released on these cards. The first 12 were reissued on 20 backs in 1979 and the second full wave of ESB figures (the "41 Back Figures") found their way onto these square cards.
