Star Wars 20-Back Death Squad Commander | |
The French version of the ever-popular Death Squad Commander figure, issued by the Meccano company. I just love the look of these small French cards. Note that that the figure is called neither "Death Squad Commander," Kenner's original title for the figure, nor "Star Destroyer Commander," as it would be in the States after the ESB line debuted. Rather, it's title is more appropriately translated as "Death Star Commander." This packaging was used in France on the same card format from 1979 to 1982, unlike some other countries, Meccano kept releasing Star Wars characters on Star Wars (GDE) square cards even during the Empire line. |
