Return of the Jedi 65-Back Princess Leia Organa
Relatively few ROTJ figure pieces have reached the lofty price ranges of some of their more prestigious SW, ESB and POTF counterparts. The third incarnation of the original Princess Leia figure is really the only ROTJ release to have moved into the upper echelon of carded figure selling prices.

Even at the time it was being shipped to stores, the ROTJ Leia was no easy find; many kids of that era (like me) had a tough time finding her. As the Star Wars figure line expanded and new Leia figures were introduced, Kenner was wise to cut the number of original Leias produced. After all, it had been 6 years since the debut of the original Star Wars, and by that time the white gown look was old hat; Leia had moved onto gold bikinis and stylish camoflauged ponchos.

Many ROTJ Leias seem to turn up on 48-back blister cards, the earliest of ROTJ releases. This example, however, is not a 48-back. Additionally, many come packaged with a Han Solo style blaster rather than the more feminine gun commonly found with the Leia figure. But again, the trait doesn't apply to this example.
