| Most collectors are familiar with the Sandcrawler toy issued by Kenner U.S. during the late '70s. It came in a box with the standard Star Wars logo. Although Kenner did feature the Sandcrawler in its 1980 Toy Fair catalog, the toy was never released in the States in an ESB box. However, the Sandcrawler was issued under the ESB banner by Kenner's Canadian affiliate. Kenner Canada also issued an ESB version of the Droid Factory playset.
Here's the back of the box. Once again, the ESB logo is featured prominently, as is French text. The controller packaged with this toy also featured a sticker bearing an ESB logo and French text. |
