| On the one hand, this piece is interesting for being a British version of Kenner's 12 inch Stormtrooper figure, issued by the Denys Fisher company. Denys Fisher 12 inch figures aren't seen a whole lot in the States, and they're a real treat for the American collector of foreign toys.
But what makes this piece really interesting is the sticker it bears on the front of its box. It's an advertisement for the Boba Fett 3.75 inch figure, which was available in England, as it was in the States, through a mail-away promotion. Apparently, in the U.K., this promotion was advertised on all sorts of Star Wars toys, not just on action figure cardbacks. Interestingly, the sticker utilizes the same line art as some blister card stickers issued in the Netherlands. |
