| This piece is one of two large dolls released by Takara of Japan who distributed many of the Star Wars toys for the first film. The box is basically modified from the existing Kenner version but the name and figure decription is mostly in Japanese (I guess there's no translation for "Large Size Action Figure" in the Japanese language though...) The doll itself is identical to the Kenner release, and the hair-styling booklet included with this one was the English-Kenner version. Japan was only one of many coutnries forced to bear witness to Leia's fabuous hair-dos, including the legendary Star Puffs. The other piece released by Takara was the Luke Skywalker Large Size Action figure. |
