Source: 1982 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog Description: Truth be told, the Death Star Escape playset was kind of lame. Sure, it had a working elevator, a pop-up cannon and a weird looking "rope," but that didn't make up for the fact that two of its three levels had absolutely nothing on them-- no features, hardly even a neat looking decal. Oh well; at least its counterpart, the awesome Death Star Compactor, made up for its thorough lack of coolness. The set came with six figures, including the only Micro representation of Luke in his white A New Hope outfit. It is also sometimes found in a plain white box, decorated only with the title of the toy. This package was used for catalog orders.
