Kenner 38100 Display Bin and Header for Die-Cast Vehicle Assortment (1978) | |
This bin display holds four rows of carded die cast vehicles. It's very similar to the action figure bin displays, but this was the only such display for the die cast vehicles. It should be noted that this item wasn't a stand-alone merchandising aid; rather, it was integral to the manner in which Kenner shipped the die-cast vehicles to retailers, the product having shipped inside the ready-to-use display. A cardboard platform was also included, which fit on top of the floor of the bin, but this is missing from most examples. In 1979, Kenner replaced this display with a modified version, whose header carded featured Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, new to the die-cast line at the time. |
