Kenner 69246 Header Store Display - Hoth/Space Battle | |
Measuring a whopping 20" x 34", this is one of the coolest displays to come of Kenner in the early 80's. Picturing Rebel snowspeeders attacking Imperial AT-ATs during the Battle of Hoth on one side while showing the Falcon's desperate attempts at escape from an Imperial Star Destroyer and several TIE Fighters on the other, this display would have been hung over a Star Wars feature area or end cap using the supplied, brass capped black string. I think it would be safe to say that there aren't too many of these babies floating around today.
Although examples of this display exist without the mounting tab extending off the base, these have been altered, probably by the retailers who received them from Kenner. According to Kenner documentation, approximately 1,000 of these displays were produced. |
