Kenner Shelf-Talker - Embossed (1981) | |
One common type of shelf-talker is the thin, plastic strip used to decorate the shelves of action figure aisles. They usually feature adhesive tabs on the underside of the non-graphical portion that serve to anchor the talker to the shelf. As they're attractive and relatively common they represent a nice, affordable way of getting started in collecting vintage displays.
The shelf-talker issued by Kenner in 1981 featured raised detailing beneath the areas on which were printed the various logos. Some examples feature a red-white Kenner logo as opposed to a black-white one. The former is much scarcer. |
