| ESB Shelf-Talker - Cardboard | |
The first ESB shelf talkers resembled their Star Wars predecessors in that they were constructed of cardboard rather than plastic, which was the material used by the shelf-talkers of later years. Though the photo is blurry, it should be evident that the design of the pictured talker is different from later ESB versions, which employed a matte red logo, rather than the reflective silver you see here. ESB cardboard shelf-talkers are very difficult to find, having shipped only at the very outset of the line, with larger displays such as the ESB "foil" header of 1980. This particular example has never been used and remains unfolded. |
