SW 20 Action Figure Hanger -'Get A Free Boba Fett'

This action figure hanger display--an early version of the "Collect All 21" hanger--is one of the rarer displays issued by Kenner during the Star Wars era. As a companion piece of the "Get a Free Boba Fett" long header, and the header card for the 20-back display bin, it features a heavy emphasis on the Boba Fett mail-in offer, as well as details on how to go about participating in the promotion. As you can see from a look at an early version of this display, several minor alterations were made in the layout of the final piece. The "removeable rocket" designation was eventually deleted, for instance, and the "collect all 21" blurb had its position altered.

One of the more visually striking of the many displays which Kenner issued, this piece also exemplifies another aspect of promotional material which many collectors find interesting: the documentation of a moment in Kenner history. The various displays featuring the Boba Fett promotion are but one of the "Rocketfett" story's many pieces; as such, they are a part of what remains the most infamous moment in the history of Star Wars collectibles.
