| 1" dia. Fakes on this button set abound, and there are several ways to determine a genuine example from a forgery. First, the photograph on the fake is not as sharp as an original (blurriness is enhanced by scanned image above); second, the reverse surface on the fake does not concave smoothly, as the original does; finally, the edge of the curl on the fakes where the image folds under the rim is black instead of white. |
