| This Squid Head first shot has soft goods accessories that are made of a pink material. These accessories were likely made to get a sense of how the individual fabric elements draped on the figure once they were sewn together and combined as they would be on the production version. Because the color was irrelevant to this purpose, movie accuracy wasn't a consideration. In fact, other prototype figures have surfaced bearing soft goods accessories in a similar hue of pink, Leia in Combat Poncho being a good example. While earlier Squid Head figures exist bearing black soft goods parts, the soft goods parts seen on the figure pictured above likely date to a later phase of development. It's possible the patterns of these accessories weren't finalized at the time the black accessories were created. |
