| This is an early mockup of the Return of the Jedi "Lightsaber with Hands" poster. This concept was presented with other competing concepts for the Return of the Jedi theatrical poster, with this one chosen by George Lucas as the concept to move forward.
It has some key differences from the final poster artwork. This version has one hand holding a lightsaber, whereas the final poster had two hands holding the saber. The lightsaber was also updated in the final design to reflect Luke's new lightsaber from the movie. This piece was originally owned by Rio Phior, former Art Director for Lucasfilm |
